In depth

Verdict

JIMMY BREEKIE has performed well in better contests since breaking his maiden at Navan. His penalty is partly negated by Patrick Corbett's claim and he should relish the return to novice hurdles after those solid efforts. An Fear Ciuin is another returned to novice company after a good effort here last time in a handicap and Sam Twiston-Davies is a noteworthy booking for the stable. Air Squadron was easily swept aside by a good one last time but that was his hurdling debut and there is definite room for improvement for a yard that does well when venturing north. Dual bumper winner Golden Jeffrey is of interest on hurdling debut along with Picture Painter, who took a step forward when runner-up here last time.
