In depth

Verdict

COTTIE gets the vote despite disappointing in bumpers after a fine start on his debut at Galway and has joined Henry De Bromhead. Danehill Quest looked as though a longer trip was required after staying on over 2m3f at Downpatrick while winning point-to-pointer Corran Cross will need to do better than his hurdling bow at Fairyhouse. Daicheadacuig ran poorly at Killarney after showing early potential but Young Jack Yates did much better in a Limerick maiden, a race that has worked out well.
