In depth

Verdict

Pat Coyne's only success to date came in a course and distance maiden but John Queally's grey bounced back to form over fences last month. Mick Charlie is the other track and trip winner in the line-up but he's now 16lb higher following consistent form over hurdles and fences. RATHNALEEN TOU was well supported when returning from a break at Limerick and made all for which she was raised 10lb. She very nearly repeated the process on a return visit and though up another 4lb her rider can claim 5lb so she can get back to winning ways. Glen Robin gained a surprise but comfortable victory over that same course and distance in May then only just failed to hold on over an extra furlong at Punchestown so looks a real threat. Broken Ice has been narrowly beaten on the Flat since a close third at Tramore.
