Verdict

Altruistic made a winning debut as a juvenile and was placed twice at Group level later. But he was well beaten in both starts last season and hasn't been seen since September. Tigris River landed a 1m6f maiden here last July before an ordinary run when favourite at Dundalk. He may be better suited by this surface than most so should go well. Neverushacon had a run over hurdles before reverting to the Flat and gaining a battling success on soft ground at Limerick and that was only his fifth start so he can improve again. Well Tuned is better known as a hurdler these days so the vote goes to GOOD TRADITION. Dermot Weld's charge is related to numerous winners but has only had one run in each of his two seasons so far. He reappeared with a victory on soft ground last April and, with a Group 1 entry, connections must still believe he's capable of much better.
