In depth

Verdict

ELYSIAN PLAINS missed the break and didn't get going until the race was all over at Navan last month but he stayed on nicely and with progress almost guaranteed he can take this. He had Stoic Soul a long way behind and should have no problems with that one but Zamroudpour looks a major threat. Dermot Weld's colt was staying on strongly at the finish over a mile at Leopardstown and the longer trip will be in his favour. Valdus was beaten a distance into fourth at Roscommon but a couple of the newcomers catch the eye. Needs To Be Seen is a half-brother to a middle-distance winner in France while Take A Nap is related to two decent winners.
