In depth

Verdict

For Jim posted a much better effort when handicapping for the first time and finishing runner-up at Bangor. He’s preferred to the returning Baraboy, who was second over track and trip in November, but ROCKCLIFFE makes most appeal. He’s been raised a further 6lb having completed a double with last month’s course and distance success but there looks more to come from Micky Hammond’s charge and the hat-trick beckons. Hear The Chimes drops down a grade and has a shout on his earlier placed effort at Market Rasen while the unpredictable Hey Bob won at Southwell in November in between a couple of poor efforts.
