Verdict
MONBEG CAVE was still in contention when falling at the last over course and distance on his return from a lay-off. He should make another bold bid racing off the same mark if fully recovered. Boss Des Mottes faded away in the closing stages over a longer trip here in October but was placed over today’s trip at Hexham before that while My Renaissance won a novices handicap here in September but is 9lb higher returning to jumps. No No Cardinal is not badly treated on his best form and neither is Citadel on only his second start for Dan Skelton.
