Verdict
GENERAL MAHLER (NAP) was beaten only a length in a tougher chase than this at Hexham recently and finished well clear of the rest. Brian Ellison’s charge could prove the one to beat with a similar effort. Border Breaker never threatened when fifth at Huntingdon last month but that was his first start since October and he should be sharper today while Oscar O'scar was narrowly beaten over these fences on Boxing Day and Quick Brew was runner-up at Perth on his penultimate start. Red Giant has struggled since scoring at Kelso in September while Notonebuttwo finished closer from out of the handicap at Hexham last time.
