      Verdict

      PYTHION has been mixing it in top grade since dead-heating on his debut last summer with a close second in a Navan Listed race in May the highlight. He was well beaten in the Queen's Vase last time but this is a significant drop in class. Shared Ambition showed the benefit of his opening run with a surprise victory at Down Royal and looks certain to make further progress but X' Girl didn't get going until much too late over an extended 1m4f at Bellewstown so may find this on the short side. The remaining pair make no appeal.
