      Verdict

TAVUS (NAP) showed plenty of promise when a staying-on third at Yarmouth despite running green and should come significantly forward with the benefit of the run under his belt. It will be disappointing if he doesn't go close for Roger Charlton off a mark of just 59. Tony Carroll is well represented via Altaira, a notable improver last time, and Cafe Sydney, who has a first run for the yard after leaving Ken Condon's Irish yard. The latter only has a rating of 48 and could well emerge as the main danger. Banksy's Art has a considerable burden but his overall profile brings him into contention along with the lightly-raced Bader for the in-form Richard Hannon operation.
