Mcguigan gained his first victory when tackling 1m1f at Leopardstown earlier this month then followed up on the same track over 6f on Thursday. Jim Bolger has booked Danny Redmond to reduce a 5lb penalty and it would be no surprise to see a hat-trick completed. Korbous bounced back to winning ways with a last-gasp victory at Cork and a 2lb rise is hardly likely to be much of a problem but this should go to the three-year-old INTREPID PRINCE (NAP). Michael O'Callaghan's charge looked one to follow when scoring comfortably at Galway and had no problems following up under a penalty at Naas a few days later. Not surprisingly he's been stung by the assessor to the tune of 15lb and he meets older horses for the first time but he should prove himself better than a 75-rated handicapper. Valentana is improving rapidly so a 6lb rise for her Tipperary victory doesn't look excessive while Maskoon wasn't far behind Korbous at Cork and didn't get the run of the race.
