Verdict

Burning Lake, a winner at Newcastle for Charlie Hills, was sent to Ayr for a handicap earlier this month and wasn't beaten far. EYEOWEYOU has been staying on late in recent handicaps and this drop in class and first-time visor can see him lose his maiden tag. Poetic Light hasn't rediscovered his form nor has top-rated Goodwood Showman, who found 1m4f much too far last time. Denis Hogan has three entries with Stormy Air likely to prove best of them with a drop in class and going to suit though Shamalov will have his supporters with his rider's claim to aid his cause. Tennesse Waltz is a very consistent performer at this level and likely to be thereabouts
