Verdict
Welcome to the time of year when later-maturing juveniles flex muscles and many a leading yard unveils potentially exciting prospects. Sir Michael Stoute introduces Oslo, a son of impressive first-season sire Gleneagles; Charlie Appleby brings his Farhh colt, Native Tribe, to the track and the likes of of Ascension for the Varian team and Ralph Beckett's Slavonic Dance, the only filly in the line-up, also make debuts. The market should prove the best guide to stable expectations but experience remains important in such events and John Gosden's ENCIPHER can build on a Haydock debut of considerable promise and go one better. The Hannon trio could all come on for debut runs and also need a market check.
