In depth

Verdict

Though still a maiden, PIKAIA is more likely to run her race than most of her rivals and Shane Crosse looks a good jockey booking for Denise Foster’s filly, who gets 22lb from penalised Leopardstown winner Lampetia. Mere Catherine ran poorly back in maiden company at Ballinrobe after a fair fifth at Gowran but Canford Light caught the eye at Cork on Sunday after a tardy start and should appreciate the longer distance. Easca Peasca could be the pick of the remainder.
