In depth

Verdict

THE DARLING BOY returned from a lay-off to finish second to Jeczmien at Taunton, finishing ahead of Playing With Fire in the process, and races off the same mark here. He looks to be a leading contender along with Karasakal, who also finished runner-up to Jeczmien at Folkestone before beating Kinkeel at Towcester last month - the latter is only 3lb higher here. Carring An Uisce looks held on recent form, while Foretto hasn't shown much so far in Ireland. Nous Voila has been well beaten over hurdles lately and may be on the downgrade.
