Verdict
Quite a decent contest for the track with several of the runners up to Listed class. Bond Becks, the winner of a couple of minor events last year, turned in his best efforts in defeat, notably when beaten just over a length in the Group 2 Flying Childers at Doncaster. He didn't exactly shape like a future winner on his return to action at Town Moor and looks to have a bit too do to turn around the form with Polar Force, who was 17-lengths ahead of him there. While he will be better suited by this trip, Polar Force will also be at home over this shorter trip and should confirm the form. Mick Channon's colt kept company with some of the best last form including when beaten less than a length by Spartacus in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh, over this trip. That is the best form on offer in this and he is taken to lead them home. Silver Seeker remains a colt of some promise, despite his poor effort in the Group 3 Champagne Stakes at Goodwood, behind his stablemate Dublin. He will be a threat to all. Others to consider include course winner Aversham, Medeena, who can be forgiven her lack-lustre effort at Ayr, and All-Weather winner Vision Of Dreams, whose best effort was in a Group 3 in France, where she was beaten less than two-lengths.
