In depth
Verdict
Altitude Dancer, Niembro, Acceleration, So Sure, Travello, and possibly Splendid Touch are the ones to focus on with the vote going to Altitude Dancer. The selection showed a lot of promise on his hurdling debut before finishing unplaced in a better event. In a race that lacks strength in depth, he has as good a chance as any. He actually beat Acceleration in a maiden at Redcar in May, so Acceleration, subsequently a dual winner at up to two miles, is interesting on his hurdling debut. Niembro has been knocking at the door in fairly similar events while So Sure, who won at Towcester in October, is also entitled to be competitive in this race. Travello ran well enough when third at Wetherby last time to suggest he ought to be competitive in this run-of-the-mill affair. Magenta Rising has won twice on the Flat over a mile but is modest. La Rose is very well-bred but, despite running well at Warwick on her debut, the form of that race is not strong. Overall, then, for us it's Altitude Dancer to hit the heights.
