The key to the outcome of this race should be the Newmarket maiden won by Hold To Ransom on 23 August in which two of these met. David Loder's Russian Society finished a one length third behind the winner that day and should confirm her superiority over Sir Michael Stoute's Time Honoured who was a further two and a half lengths further adrift in fourth place. While the fourth can, quite reasonably, be expected to improve considerably for the outing the same can be said of the third, as the Loder juveniles have tended to run markedly better on their second start this term. In addition to that Stoute's filly is by Sadler's Wells and, unless the rains come, she is likely to find the going too fast again. John Gosden has his string in good order at present so his representative Askariyah, a daughter of Kris S, could be worth watching, as could Michael Bell's expensive purchase Ballerina Suprema - another daughter of Sadler's Wells. However, the Loder horse, who is by Darshaan, should have conditions to suit and she gets the TEAMtalk vote.
