Verdict
John Dunlop's Weqaar is likely to be a popular choice for the first division of this seven furlong maiden following a debut second in a Newmarket maiden. However, that may not have been the strongest of maidens on the course and at likely odds the daughter of Red Ransom is opposable. A doubt still remains about the form of Richard Hannon's horses so, unless Garmoucheh can reproduce the form of her Newbury second behind Ambonnay, she is probably best discounted. Island Rapture, a stablemate of the winner there, has shown enough to suggest that she can win races but, unless For Freedom shows dramatic improvement for her only start so far, the best bet may be the newcomer Kirk Wynd. Sir Michael Stoute's filly comes from a good family, will appreciate any further rain and at the odds looks the value. She gets the TEAMtalk vote.
