Verdict

SLEEPY JOE returns to the track where he made a winning debut in April. He's been a little disappointing since but only found one too good in a better contest at Newmarket over this trip two runs ago and had valid excuses on the Polytrack last time. With a claimer taking off 7lb, Mick Channon's charge could be the one to beat as Der Blaue Reiter has finished last in both starts since winning at Yarmouth in the spring and his stamina to prove, though is taking a huge drop in class. Autopilot also has his sights lowered but is in danger of becoming disappointing and Princess Tamay tries 7f for the first time. Sukari Gold would need first-time blinkers to have an effect for her to get involved and it's worrying to see Kantara Castle starting off at this lowly level.
