        Verdict

        Quite a competitive selling event with Yashin, Anisette and Bertocelli the three that catch the eye, and we will side with the first named. Mark Tompkins continues in excellent form and Yashin has shown enough in better company earlier this season to suggest he is capable of landing this type of event. He did actually finish third in a seller last time over seven furlongs, he stayed on strongly in that contest without troubling the front two, suggesting he will be seen to better effect over this longer trip. Anisette was third in a banded race at Brighton last time and looks set to make her presence felt against a similar class of opposition. Meanwhile Bertocelli hails from a very shrewd yard and showed signs of a returning to form when fourth at Windsor recently.Smart Boy Prince is also worth a mention, but in a race where should keep a close eye on the betting, Yashin is a tentative selection.
