Verdict
Canterbury Jack, Dinsey Finnegan and Eastern Point are three against the field in an open affair with the vote going to Canterbury Jack. The gelding from the David Pipe yard has won both his races between the flags in facile fashion and with conditions to suit here he will be hard to beat. Dinsey Finnegan rates the main danger he also won his last point-to-point in good style but that was with more cut in the ground and for that reason he is opposed. Eastern Point was a fair second in a similar race last time behind Parte Prima and has definite place claims but is still prone to the odd jumping error. Of the remainder Black smoke is from a top yard and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Canterbury Jack.
