In depth

Verdict

Ponga didn't appear to enjoy soft ground at Beverley after a promising debut at Kempton so today's conditions may not suit. Mullins Beach was beaten a long way on heavy going here then never got into contention at Bath while Run Joy Run finished last at Brighton. Tea Leaf Ted's yard has made a fine start to the campaign and he's speedily bred though only cost 2,000gns. COASTAL SUNRISE is by Equiano out of a two-year-old winner from a very speedy family so should have plenty of pace. Fengari's dam produced a 6f winner with her first foal while Grise is a half-sister to four winners.
