In depth

Verdict

A winner in the French provinces last year, Civilian has been gelded since and debuts for the Crisford yard with a tongue-tie applied. Forza Orta has shown promise over shorter trips in both starts to date while Ocean Wave found only one too good over a mile at Thirsk on her debut. But MAHRAJAAN is taken to improve on last month’s third over today’s distance at Newmarket given the Haggas yard boasts an impressive strike rate with its three-year-old runners here and he gets the vote.
