In depth

Verdict

A rejuvenated Ivory Silk carried over her improved all-weather form to the turf when only beaten a head at Doncaster last time. She has a leading chance here, but Dickie Le Davoir's winning run may come to an end today upped in class off a 9lb higher mark. Hot Pursuits and Shifting Star have claims, while maiden winners Bandstand and Free For All look to have handicap wins in them but the vote goes to FALASTEEN. Dandy Nicholls' charge went close to landing a better race than this at Beverley ten days ago and scored over C&D at this time last year off an 8lb higher mark.
