Semi Colon seems a reasonable starting point in this. Nicky Henderson's novice couldn't justify favouritism in a mares' Listed handicap at Newbury last time but that was only her fourth start over hurdles and she has a promising conditional on board in Jeremiah McGrath. Paul Gallagher has been among the winners recently and it would no surprise to see Locked Inthepocket go well back over hurdles while Peter Carberry may be able to get a tune of Grandad Bill, who didn't appear to last home over 2m7f at Kelso last time and is starting to look well handicapped. Rain Stops Play ran well over 2m here in January and was doing his best work at the finish when fourth last time and Franklino has place claims again. CHARINGWORTH won with a bit in hand at Hexham last month, however, and can defy a 4lb weight rise.
