Verdict
Some in-form contenders in opposition although Fever Few, off top weight, is likely to need the run after a break of over 270 days. Amber Crystal will need to improve again to figure in this grade but recent winners Be Lucky, trained by Mick Easterby, and Honeysuckle Lil, for nephew Tim, are interesting. They are preferred in that order but LEAD A MERRY DANCE (NAP) can overcome both. The Bertolini filly scored with authority at Bath and Goodwood before a slightly tardy stalls exit didn't assist her cause last time when still a fair third at Salisbury. Edward Greatrex, emerging as the apprentice find of the season, is riding with confidence and his 7lb claim represents a major boost to the chances of Sylvester Kirk's charge.
