In depth

Verdict

None have entered the winner's circle this season and one or two are probably proving a source of frustration to connections. Dashed and Gentlewoman are likely entrants into that category for leading yards and the Varian team now reach for first-time blinkers and the Gosden operation persists with a hood. Either could prove good enough but EULA VARNER will almost certainly have needed her first start for nearly a year when a respectable fourth at Chepstow, a performance offering encouragement for the future at this trip. She's the choice in a wide-open race as Silca Mistress was better last time, Rosamour has a shout off bottom weight and Porcelain Girl is useful but not the most consistent.
