In depth

Verdict

Joe Brown has plenty of weight but remains unexposed and has conditions to suit so gets the vote to follow up his recent Sedgefield success and score at the main expense of Marsh Run and Durante. The last mentioned has been given a good break since his reappearance at Chepstow and has to be considered along with Signature Tune, who represents the in-form yard of Peter Winkworth. Pardon What may now need some help from the handicapper, while Danse Macabre needs to improve on recent evidence if he is to trouble the judge. Miss Fahrenheit has disappointed of late and of more interest may be Alan King's High Altitude, who may be open to more improvement. Marsh Run is consistent and should be thereabouts again but Joe Brown holds solid claims at the weights and, provided that he jumps well enough on his chasing debut, he may be good enough to make a winning start over the larger obstacles.
