In depth

Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott runs three in this, with Godsend probably the pick of the trio, but plenty of others have travelled up from Newmarket for this newcomers’ maiden. Majed was a €145,000 yearling and changed hands for a further €60,000 earlier this year. He’s a half-brother to a couple of useful winners over 1m2f and this looks a good starting point but DOSMAN is just preferred. Roger Varian’s colt is also a half-brother to a smart performer over 1m2f and he cost a whopping 375,000gns. He’s from the same family as Irish Derby winner Latrobe.
