Verdict
The ground will hold no fears for the veteran Eponina but there are a host of three-year-olds arriving in much better form. Motasaleeta has placed in three of four starts this year but remains winless. Lunarscape gets soft going for the first time since second at Windsor in the spring but ASTRONOMICA is 2-2 on this surface and also a previous course and distance winner. She needs to be held up so may have seen too much daylight when third at Newmarket last time. Chepstow winner Believe You Me has been well beaten in three previous runs over this trip but Pearly Star took a step forward when runner-up at Thirsk so goes on the shortlist.
