In depth

Verdict

The Martin Pipe-trained Sindapour, a half-brother to the 2000 Vodafone Derby winner Sinndar, can land this before making his mark in middle-distance handicaps this summer. The five-year-old Priolo gelding has had his problems but shaped with promise on his seasonal return and holds a good chance here. Genghis and Lifted Way both showed promise as juveniles while Alexander Promise shaped very encouragingly at Windsor on 7 April (form has worked out and Western , who runs earlier on this card, was fourth in the race). Mark Johnston's Delsarte is possibly one to watch in the market, as is James Fanshawe's Gin 'N' Fonic, who is by Zafonic out of a Sadler's Wells half-sister to Daylami. He could be anything. John Dunlop's entry. Stoop To Conquer, is a half-brother to the decent stayer Give Thanks, while Tadris, another to show promise in one run at two, is out of a mare who is a half-sister to the great Nashwan. She should be suited by further than this trip in time.
