      Verdict

      With Sir Michael Stoute's stable in such good form at present, it will be interesting to see if the market speaks in favour of Comfy, who has an absence to overcome but, on recent evidence, this should lie between Common World and L'Oiseau d'Argent with preference for the latter. A stable mate to Comfy, L'Oiseau d'Argent looked potentially useful last season and, with improvement to come from three to four, he is taken to make a winning return under Kieren Fallon. Comfy has not been seen since finishing fifth behind Rock Of Gibraltar in the Dewhurst and the lack of a recent outing is a worry. There are likely to be bigger targets later in the season for the son of Lear Fan, who is probably best watched here. Common World has a fitness advantage over his rivals but is more exposed and looks worth taking on. Mark Johnston's Bouncing Bowdler has not progressed as may have been expected and is becoming disappointing and a bigger threat may come from the Terry Mills-trained Ceepio, who looked worth following when making a winning return at Kempton in March but has disappointed since.
