Verdict
Apollo Theatre has the class to prevail over the likes of Star Of Germany, Kilgowan and Smurfit. Apollo Theatre still has to brush up his jumping but having been brought along steadily through the bumper ranks, opened his account at Lingfield recently with a narrow success over Twenty Degrees. Afterwards, trainer Richard Rowe revealed that his target is the EBF Final, a race that the stable have already collected in the past with Sir Dante. They obviously think that the six-year-old has more improvement to come, and will be disappointed if he does not follow up. Star Of Germany was no great shakes on the Flat and only dead-heated in selling company at Uttoxeter three weeks ago. That form does not look good enough, and a much bigger will be Kilgowan who nearly defied a 500-day absence at Chepstow, and a glance at his Irish form behind the likes of Total Enjoyment reads well enough. However, on this occasion we prefer the claims of Apollo Theatre.
