Certain Promise, Semah Harold and Whaston all have appeal in this mile handicap, and we'll side with Certain Promise. Sir Michael Stoute's filly was beaten in a maiden at Brighton last time out by a short priced favourite, but has looked to be an improving sort, albeit she's lightly raced. She has a favourable draw too, compared with Whaston, a winner last week out at Ayr at the tenth time of asking. She's got a penalty for that, but still carries less than most here. Semah Harold has a decent high draw, but although Ed McMahon's gelding hasn't fulfilled the promise shown when winning on debut a year ago, he could be too strong for many of these, with this looking like his level. But for our pick we'll return to Certain Promise.
