Verdict

Crocodile Shoes started out over 1m6f at Killarney but looked one-paced and is tried in cheekpieces. Ex Patriot has been gradually improving and gave supporters of the odds-on Twilight Payment a real scare at the Curragh. She looks certain to go well but so does A SHIN KILDARE. Dermot Weld's filly looked certain to win at Galway last week but just couldn't pick up in the soft ground and was run out of it by Sweet Company. The New Approach colt Lightning Bullet is an interesting newcomer for Jim Bolger.
