In depth
Verdict
SHALE had a brilliant first campaign culminating in a victory over Pretty Gorgeous in the Group 1 Moyglare at the Curragh. She was nowhere near her best behind that runner-up in the Fillies' Mile at Newmarket and is easily the highest rated of these. The latter's yard have three entries with impressive Dundalk Listed winner My Generation possibly the best of them. Aidan O'Brien is also triple-handed with Joan Of Arc looking potentially smart when landing a Curragh maiden last month though that may not have been a strong event and Ryan Moore is on board Shale, who is in the same ownership. Zaffy's Pride couldn't quite handle Poetic Flare, who runs in the previous race, in a Group 3 here in October after completing a Dundalk double
