In depth

Verdict

Fiosrach began the campaign on a very lowly mark and made a successful handicap debut at Limerick. He returned to winning ways at Cork last time but, in between, had been well beaten behind today's rival HARLEY'S HARLEY and it's Arthur Moore's charge who should have the advantage again and take this despite a 7lb rise. Versilia Gal is 2lb lower than her last winning mark while the lightly-raced Shipyard ran well over 6f at the Curragh and this is his trip. Soft ground and this trip are ideal for Kanes Pass but Connacht Council has done better in faster conditions. Melvin The Grate's only two victories have come on Polytrack.
