In depth

Verdict

Higher Kingdom has only ever won on the all-weather but ran very well when runner-up in the Ladies Derby at the Curragh when Longbourn was half-a-length behind. Cordouan, lightly-raced for his age, looks best of the McGuinness pair having run an excellent race in the lucrative Nasrullah Handicap here last week. Chavajod has continued to run well after scoring over a mile here but is 11lb higher while course and distance winner NO NIKI NO, a regular winner when trained in France, found 7f just too short in a premier handicap at the Curragh and can get back to winning ways.
