Verdict

Willie Mullins and Noel Meade had seven of the original nine entries between them, the champion trainer with five. He relies on DJAKADAM and though the five-year-old has something to find he has enormous potential and his allowance can see him through. He jumped and stayed well on his chasing debut over slightly shorter here last month when beating Si C'Etait Vrai and has the scope to go all the way to the top. Mullaghanoe River also beat that runner-up about the same distance at Punchestown but he was already experienced over fences. He's the pick of Paul Carberry who was on board Road To Riches when he pulled up in the Grade 1 Racing Post here last time after making a bad mistake at the fifth. Bright New Dawn was very smart over hurdles and made a winning debut over fences at Punchestown before finding 3m too far in the Grade 1 Topaz here.
