In depth

Verdict

This should prove a formality for MARCHESE MARCONI, though the same could have been said of his reappearance at Dundalk when beaten ot odds of 1/5. The stoutly-bred son of Galileo looked very one-paced that night and couldn't get past Fairview Star but this surface should bring out the best in him and entries in several Group races suggest he's expected to do much better. It's difficult to find a danger apart from the jumper Prima Vista, a winning bumper and three times successful over hurdles. He's been racing in top company over hurdles and fences all winter and looks the only feasible threat. Castletimon has shown a glimmer of potential in bumpers and looks best of the remainder.
