In depth

Verdict

Pateen has a penalty for his shock victory at Killarney and this looks a bit better race. Golden Poet was always in the vanguard at Sligo and not beaten far at the finish so he should get involved but the vote goes to INNOCENT VERDICT. Johnny Feane's filly attempted to make all at Down Royal last month and kept on well when headed so the quicker ground can enable her to hang on this time. Aeglos hails from Joseph O'Brien's yard and he's one to note in the market though it's Copernicus who catches the eye on breeding as he's by Teofilo out of a Group 3 middle-distance winner.
