In depth

Verdict

Denis Hogan has two entries here; Atlas, who was narrowly beaten in a Tipperary claimer early this month under Izzy Clifton, and the top-rated Turbine, the winner of a Leopardstown handicap a year ago who has only had two subsequent starts. Thunder Rain hadn't shown much in two maidens but attracted support in a maiden claimer at Roscommon and duly obliged. There's probably a bit more improvement in his but Colin Keane, who rode him, is on board GEGENPRESSING for his retained stable and his mount has performed well enough in two handicaps to suggest he'll be good enough to win at this level.
