In depth
Verdict
Race conditions greatly suit WESTERN VICTORY, who has been alternating between hurdles and fences having finished a close second in a Killarney Listed hurdle before a third place in the Mayo National at Ballinrobe. She could find this on the short side though main rival Make My Heart Fly was 16 lengths behind her over fences at Clonmel in October though was conceding 10lb. Ava Rose has run poorly since landing a Tramore maiden in October while Bonarc disappointed when favourite at Tramore after an easy victory in a Clonmel maiden.
