In depth

Verdict

Place Des Vosges had been running well before stepping up to 3m and winning easily at Listowel for which she's been raised 10lb. She finished just behind ISOTOPE when they occupied the places at Tipperary but Joseph O'Brien's charge has much the better of the weights now and has since run well at Roscommon. Run For Oscar was in fine form in maidens last autumn and make his handicap debut from what could prove a very attractive mark so he's definitely on the shortlist as is Now Where Or When, a Fairyhouse maiden winner who made a bad mistake at Perth earlier this month. Visionarian's Gowran victory came on good ground so he wouldn't want more rain while Fairyhill Run's recent good form has been over fences.
