In depth

Verdict

IRISH POSEIDON completed a hat-trick at Dundalk at the end of last year and though yet to score in three attempts over hurdles was only caught on the run-in when tackling 2m2f at Ballinrobe. King's Vow is another triple Dundalk winner and ran his best race over timber at Downpatrick on Sunday over 2m5f. Mars Harper is a progressive type who was beaten less than two lengths at Limerick last month but Cullaghs Star did better when stepped up to 2m3f last time. Cottie was well supported at Kilbeggan earlier this month but couldn't handle Daicheadacuig, who was well beaten at Wexford on Wednesday.
