Verdict

BALBIR DU MATHAN is likely to be a short price to open his account over fences at the 13th attempt. A winner over hurdles in November on his first run for Stephen Mahon, the nine-year-old has been placed in all three starts over the larger obstacles this season and deserves a change of luck. Mighty Stowaway is held on Thurles running and few of the others make much appeal on what they’ve shown so far, though Sir Bob is only six and has won between the flags.
