In depth

Verdict

Val De Ferbet has been alternating between hurdles and fences and though he hasn't won for a very long time he's produced some excellent runs in top company and should get into the frame. ALLBLAK DES PLACES (NAP) landed a Fairyhouse maiden on his first start for Willie Mullins a year ago then finished runner-up to stable companion Footpad in the Grade 1 Gain Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown in February. He looks a high-class prospect for the yard and should take this without too much fuss. Runfordave has a Grade 1 entry next month and is obviously well regarded though he'll need to step up on what he's shown to date to realise those ambitions. Consharon Boy scored over this trip at Killarney in May but was outpaced when tackling three miles in two subsequent starts.
