Verdict

BELLSHILL completed a four-timer when landing a Grade 1 hurdle at Naas in January and continued to perform at the very highest level culminating in a victory at Punchestown in April. He didn't have much to do on his chasing bow at Gowran but did it effortlessly and looks a high-class recruit. His stable companion Haymount beat a very strong field in a beginners' event at Punchestown last month and isn't making up the numbers and a line through Coney Island, who he beat that day, suggests he should have the measure of last season's Coral Cup winner Diamond King. Nambour is a promising type judged on his opening run over fences at Galway and should be forgiven his latest effort at Punchestown where he led for a long way over a slightly longer trip.
