Verdict

Dounikos scored on the point-to-point course at Punchestown in February and debuts under Rules. But BLACK WARRIOR finished a close-up third in a bumper over track and trip in May and the first two home have both subsequently won. The latter is less exposed than Sandycove Island but Summerhill Lewis looks a likely improver with a recent debut at Punchestown under his belt. Simply Gooch could go well but hasn’t raced since 2013 and the newcomer Ballyegan Hero is more interesting as he is related to a host of winners.
